What we do with a tip
Every incoming tip is read by an editor within one edition cycle. If it is publishable and we can confirm at least one detail independently, it becomes a filing. If it is publishable but we cannot confirm it, we tell you. If it is not publishable, we still keep it on file. Nothing is deleted.
Anonymity
You do not have to identify yourself. If you do identify yourself, we treat your name as source-protected until you tell us otherwise in writing. If you are inside an institution that filed something we are reporting on, we will not describe you in a way that would identify you to your institution.
What not to send
Do not send classified material from any dimensional authority. Do not send material that would put a specific named person at risk. Do not send us a tip about your own dispute with a neighbour unless the dispute has already been filed with the appropriate Bureau.
